I liked the first half/intro with the interviews, really gave me an idea of where this is going. I also appreciated the Stranger Things themed title sequence. The sky's the limit section felt a bit unnecessary, given its short length and abrupt ending. I guess the idea behind it was to show both sides of the acting game, by first introducing the person behind the roles and then following it up by her actual work on a set. Sounds good on paper but your execution just felt a bit rushed. I know you recently asked people on MVZone about how to showcase an actor's skills in an MV and I don't know if this video is related to that thread but it definitely seems like the motives are similar here.
Overall I just think it lacks content because it's a 3 minute video with an intro that's almost 2 minutes long. I don't know much about Millie, so maybe there isn't much to work off of in the first place but it just feels like half a video to me. Concepts like these probably work better on really established actors who've been in a lot of different movies who've played a big variety of characters like a Tom Hanks or a Johnny Depp or idk, there are a lot lol
Thanks for the feedback. The lack of media was the biggest struggle and that's why the "acting highlights" were so short, I just couldn't find more clips plus she has like only 2 big roles so far in her career. I wanted to make a video about her because I wanted to show her infinite potential and that's why I didn't make a Tom Hanks or Johnny Depp video. Plus this is only the first time I am making a video like this so, I have a lot to learn. Hopefully, the next one will be better. Again thanks for the feedback.
This was a decent edit for your first time with this concept, but I agree with SWL as far as it being rushed. I thought the interviews were good with everyone putting her over as an actress. I thought the title intro was a little long given how short the video was, especially in the middle like that. Also, the short video after felt a little weird because of how short it was and how suspenseful and lively the end got. I liked the effects and stock you used in that last section. Overall, I get the concept you were going for and you did a good job of letting me know a little about her (which I didn’t know much). Like you said in your description on YT, the next one will be better now that you’ve got some experience doing it.
thanks for the feedback !
