Really nice showing. That opening promo sounds familiar . I'm not the biggest fan of these screamo songs and it's always quite awkward when the screaming part kicks in and editors slow their editing down because keeping up with the song would be ridiculous, but I think you managed it fairly well. Good use of twixtor and color corrections. I only gave clip selection a 6 because it seems like most of this video was stuck in 2016-17 and, even though the clips were flowing well with the song, there weren't any real lyrical connections to the song either. The only link between topic and song I can think of was that AJ doesn't need TNA or the indies and is now thriving in WWE, but other than that it seems like the video is fairly independent from the song. Really liked the masking you did with the black background, that was a nice touch and overall I can tell that you've got your basics down. Now you only need to work on finding the right songs to match a certain concept to create something memorable. Keep it up
Syncing - 9/10
Pacing - 6/10 your scene linking seemed a little slow at times when the rapid beats would have leaned toward more scenes at a faster pace.
Clips Selection - 5/10
Presentation - 7/10 I loved the cc and your use of masking but the background of the mask was kinda lacking but the mask looked pretty smooth.
Overall Entertainment - 8/10 I love metal lol
sts: Great video! As soon as I heard it was Tennyson, I got excited about the rest of the video. Love their music. I thought you did well syncing with the music. Pacing and flow was good throughout. The clock stock was an interesting choice, but you made it work. Not really much I can say. I will say I thought you would be a little more playful with your editing (similar to “Smother”), but that’s not a knock on this video at all. Good work!
Olraid: Good effort here! I can see you improving since the last time I really saw one of your videos. I thought your pacing with the song was good throughout. I thought some of the slower action clips kind of slowed down the paced a tad, but you sped back up in those spots pretty soon after. Your use of FX and slowed clips was nice as well. The voiceovers were good. I thought the video was a little long and with that, I felt like the ending wasn't differentiated enough from the rest of the video. Maybe more shakes, different color, or effects would've helped this. Good showing!
GoldenSkulls: I enjoyed this. Your editing felt smooth throughout the MV and I appreciated your simplicity here. I like the intro going into his WWE tenure. I liked the change at 0:45 with your editing syncing with the guitar. It made it feel like something different was coming as far as his (Cody) story. Your pace and flow was good for the remainder of the video with highlights of Cody's independent run. Your FX and slowed clips felt nice and smooth like I mentioned earlier. Nothing else I really have to say. Good work!
Good match here. I felt like I enjoyed GoldenSkulls video a little bit more than the others.
