Discuss The Elimination Chamber 2010 Pay Per View

The Raw EC was full of brutal moves and it was kind of quick.Dibiase eliminating Orton was FTW.Cena winning was a huge turn of events. Then when mcmahon came out i smelled screwjob in the air(ironic). That was a interesting way to start the show.
7.5/10

The IC title match was average. Im not the biggest fan of Kane but he did enough to really put up a solid match. Mcintyre is ok in my book after that one.
6/10

Divas Tag was kind of pointless. I would have rather seen just the title match. It was TV material stuff.I thought maryse vs gail kim would be good.
4.5/10

The Miz and MVP was a nice match. Miz keeps improving every week and i thought that the bump Mark Henry took was funny yet cool. I wanna see what the writers do with miz a 'Mania
7/10

The SD Chamber was good. CM Punk put up a good spot at the Beginning where he cut a promo after eliminating r-truth. Takers entrance was hilarious he had the pep in his step. Punk tossing mysterio around was a cool move. John morrison being in the final 3 was big for him especially with his ankle being messed up. Jericho was a true heel tonight hiding from taker. The final minutes between y2j and taker were really satisfying. I knew HBK was coming somewhere but when it actually happened it was FTW.
8.5/10

The lack of matches kind of frustrated me. But the twists in the EC matches were cool and i thought i was a good way to start the road to 'Mania.

6.5/10

Pretty good event well I should say pretty good chambers lol. This PPV really didn't have much of a under card but it made up for it with the Main events. I was really glad when Batitsa won the title I really didn't want to he sheamas in the main event and iv been thinking batista has been pretty good lately. The SD chamber was also pretty good, it actually got really good when it was down to the last 3 people. It was pretty obvious Jericho was going to win but it was still cool when it happened. BTW that was pretty sick when Undertaker got lit on fire during his entrance and had that fresh burn in his chest during the match

According to sources, The Undertaker was in fact burned during his entrance at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

As Taker made his entrance, there was a pyro malfunction when the flames from his entrance reached his jacket and burned it. Taker quickly ripped off the jacket and moved away from the pryo. Once he got to the ring, he poured water on himself and then worked the match as scheduled.

When he returned to the locker room after the match, he was obviously very upset. Management tried to calm him down, as it was obviously an accident. He was said to be extremely pissed off backstage.

We received the following reports about the incident:

Andre Thomas sent this one in: Undertaker's coat accidentally caught on fire during his entrance. He then ripped off his burning coat. While in his pod referee constantly gave him bottled waters to pour down his arm. Not sure if this was seen on camera. After it went the PPV went off air he stormed up the ramp staring directly at the pyrotechnic area, stopped at the top of the stage (right next to the spot the pyro accidentally burned him) and yelled something at the pyrotechnics and made a threatening gesture before exiting the stage. Also, when Undertaker left his pod, the door broke and couldn't be closed back. Referee's constantly tried to close is but was unsuccessful. It was kinda funny because minutes later, the pod Jericho hid in also got jammed open and couldn't be closed.

Dustin Reppell sent this one in: I just got back from Elimination Chamber, this is former columnist Dustin Reppell. I just wanted to let you know, there was a reason the Undertaker ran to the ring, which may not have been picked up on camera. The Undertaker actually stepped into his pyro, and not only got a fireball in the face, but his Jacket went up in flames. He threw it off and ran towards the ring, and was a little shaken up because of it. I'm guessing the camera cut away, just in case they had an emergency. Thought you might like to know.

ok ppv overall for me.

Raw chamber seemed to drag on, didn't finish watching it so I might have missed out on when it started to "pick up". Cena winning was something that I should have known due to all the "clues" WWE had placed, just really didn't pick them up so it was a nice surprise. Batista coming out was pretty cool, nice to see those two have the main event instead of HHH (I hope; really dont want to see a 3 way). I don't understand why they moved the Divas Match, kinda pointless to move a match you've been building for quite some time now. Miz vs MVP was a filler nothing more, same goes for the IC match, just didn't really catch my attention. Miz promo on Daniel Bryan makes me think they are going to do a mentor vs student feud, I really hope they go with that. SD chamber was the best match of the night, Taker entrance surprised me, commentators did a pretty good job on covering that up. Punk was awesome as always, did some very good promos that got me into the match. Chamber was filled with some very good spots including Jericho running into the pod away from Taker, Morrison taking a bump and hitting his head on the pod, and of course the final spot with Micheal. Ok ppv saved by the main event, had too many last minute changes for my liking.

I don't like the setup that has been erm....set up for the WWE title heading into Wrestlemania. Cena vs Batista...likely to have McMahon and Bret as managed....FTL.
Chambers were well done IMO. Sad to see the pyro flaw in Taker's entrance, the way he had to break character for just a second really showed. Shawn coming out of the floor and attacking Taker was unexpected, and I liked it.

Overall, only thing I disliked about this ppv was the outcome of the first match. I don't want to see batista or cena with the title.

Raw Chamber - Orton got a nice reception. It was too be expected since it was in his home town. Going into this I knew either Cena and HHH were gonna win. Dibiase pinning Orton sets up their match. Sheamus not being the final 2 shows how much wwe cares about him. His title reign was really pointless. =\

Now the after math was lol worthy. Throwing the wwe belt around every month like that really hurts the title. If anyone can bend over for Vince to get a shot at the title like that, than whats stopping everyone else? Just felt again this was lazy booking to set up Cena/batista(and Cena to win it at mania). Why should I care about Cena winning it? Just tiresome.

Kane vs. Drum Mcdoodle - That theme has got to go. You can hear a pin drop during Duke Mcdonald's entrance. lol In fact it really killed the mood for the rest of the night. Didn't really care for this match. very little build(they annoucned this match on wwe.com) and had to follow the Raw chamber. David Macintosh wins with a poke in the eye followed with his ddt.

Everything after this was a haze. I think Edge speared one of the Divas prompting a Miz vs. MVP match. *__*

Miz vs. MVP - One of the worthwhile matches of the night. A lot of false finishes and great action. Surprisingly the crowd got back into it. Miz is awesome. Show sends Henry crashing into the barricades. MVP gets merked in the face by Show and Miz wins! Show and miz or Showmiz runs up the ramp forgetting their undisputed tag titles.

Smackdown! Chamber - I was psyched for this match. The previous match had me in good spirits. I didn't notice Taker got hit by his own pyro during his entrance until today. Cole did a good cover up(or maybe he didn't even know). Punk comes out doing his rant which is always nice to see. He pwns Truth and goes off again. Him and rey getting eliminated early didn't sit well with me. I was hoping to see another great performance like last year. Morrison did well to substitute I guess. The bit where Jericho hides in the empty pod was genius. Morrison selling his ankle was odd but so was the whole injured ankle angle. This might be his excuse for losing then.

Jericho vs. Taker was nice to see. Great back and fourth. They did a good job of making it look like Jericho was gonna lose(I had Jericho winning the chamber penciled in my head). Eventually HBK comes and pwns Taker in the face with the heel of his boot. Jericho wins! ~_~

The main event saved this. I thought last year's EC ppv was better.
