On Monday’s TNA iMPACT!, James Storm threw a fireball into the face of his TNA Lockdown opponent, Jeff Hardy. The two will wrestle in the opening match on the PPV and will be on opposite sides later in the night during the Team Hogan vs. Team Flair Lethal Lockdown match.
TNA heavily edited the segment that aired on Monday’s iMPACT! but the uncut footage is now online.
Jeff Hardy’s girlfriend Beth wrote on Twitter that Jeff was “burned badly” during the spot – enough to “blister & peel”. She added that the fire “singed near his eyes, forehead and lips” and hopes he’s “never asked to do something like that again.” Here’s the footage:

How irresponsible of TNA to let a performer get injured for a TV spot they weren't even allowed to show. Also, this puzzles me....I thought alcohol can be set on fire...but Mike 'The Professor' Tenay says otherwise?:S

Supposedly he was holding beer and not alcohol which led him to question the fact of it being flammable

That scene was used in the old WWF , TNA totally recylced that idea , Fucken TNA.

Kane threw a fire ball at Chyna and shockingly it burned her eyebrow , Triple H told her nothing would go wrong and they practiced it several times but when it aired live Chynas eyebrow was burnt. (From the DX book)

I think either TNA thinks we forgot or is taking a shot at WWEs past.
Well TNA does have all the writers from the Attitude era when the original fireball occurred so I guess it is OK.

Opinions ain't facts, take em in and let em go
I heard Hogan mention it on Bubba Love Sponges' show, he said his whole heard was engulfed in fire, so it wasn't as bad as I pictured it.

But Hogan did say Hardy was pretty fucked up after it.

The thing I don't understand is how Jeff got "knocked out", or why he just fell back.

TNA used this a lot though. Raven, James Mitchell, Disciples Of The New Church etc.

On 03 and even 09 when Raven blew one into Foleys Face.

It was really pointless to do, and to risk one of their most popular stars like that, mainly because they weren't even allowed to show it on TV.
