Sts- Of the three videos I feel that this is best edited on a technical level, but in terms of a story I couldn’t really follow it. I feel like it would have been better to use more audio clips from the film to help convey the story to the viewer.

I understand that it’s in another language so you would have had to type all of it out, but it really would have helped anyone unfamiliar with the film (like me lol)

Sarcastic- This was certainly an experience lol.

I think this was fun to watch, but there’s not a lot to really say about it. Which isn’t really a negative. You kept up with the music to showcase the shows chaotic energy.

I can’t really critique this even though thats the entire point so it’s kind of a cop out lol.

Kamran- Alright, this is going to sound harsh but here it is.

I really don’t think you did much editing here at all. It really felt like just like you put the action scenes on the timeline during chorus of the song and let it go.

There was no real attempt to sync anything whether it was using the rhythm of the song, the drums or lyrically.

It’s clear you wanted to convey the journey of Max and Furiosa, and their journey together through the film, but you didn’t do that either.

I expected more and you just didn’t deliver.

Overall this was between Sarcastic and sts. Both offered two wildly different videos.

Sts offered an emotional video that was better on a technical level, but I feel didn’t convey the story as well as intended which can make it harder to understand if you’re unfamiliar with the source material.

Sarcastic offered a fun and chaotic video that lacked a story, but was easy to digest and enjoy even though it wasn’t the best on a technical level.

This is hard to pick because they both have flaws, but if I have to pick....

Winner- STS

STS, this was great. After the first watch I was lost and didn't understand what was going on but after the second watch I definitely understood the story. Only part I kind of got lost at was around 2:44-2:58. I could follow everything leading up to that but then her dresses and the scenes started changing and I could kind of tell it was present day because of the scar on her face but I still kind of got lost between those seconds. But other than that, for this to barley have any audio, besides the subtitles of the cops telling her parents that she was in the hospital, and her wanting to go back to school towards the end, I think you did a very good job at telling the story. I honestly think those short portions of subtitles was really all that was needed. And with this being in a different language I can understand why you chose to take that route. But overall, this was a really nice video. I think the song really suited well with the video and story in general, and your choice of scenes really made this easy to follow. Great work. I also really liked how the video started with her walking in the hallway with the black and white fx, and ended with the same clip but it slowly transitioned into color. Nice ending to the video. Great job.

Sarcastic, the moment I seen Adult Swim in the bottom right corner I kind of felt this was probably going to be some sort of crazy shit lol. This was very interesting but it kept me glued to the screen the entire time. I loved your approach to the song and with how crazy the scenes were you did a great job with pacing in this. I also think you did a great job with the lyrical sync in this too. The "We'll be right back" sequences were also a pretty nice touch. But overall, I don't really have any issues with this video. It was a fun watch, and for what you were going for with this, I think you did great. Good video.

Kamran, I honestly couldn't really understand what was going on in this. I think this desperately needed some form of audio added to give some kind of meaning behind what was going on. The video was just filled with a bunch of action with no real direction as to why, or what was going on. For a viewer that has never seen this movie before, you didn't really give us anything to follow. But since it says music video I don't really think that was the goal here so I can understand why you took this approach. But that aside, I think you could have played around with the sync and pacing of the song more. The slower portions of the song you did pretty good but once the song picked up it kind of fell flat. I do think you did a great job with the pacing of 1:13-1:33 tho. That sequence looked pretty good. But then it just went back to an action scene without any real attempt at synching or pacing with the song. Overall, this was cool to watch, I just couldn't really understand what was going on.

STS: I'm not particularly sure what interested you in covering this but I'm not one to judge. The film deals with the sexual abuse of a child and the trama and recovery from that, something that I think misses the mark here as the song itself deals with another morbid situation that a lot of people deal with. Just didn't think the two meshed all that well together besides the 'clever' use of lyrics at times. While I felt the first half had decent structure, thought it fell apart some after showing her rehab stint. Just didn't think anything done after that point made much sense and left me a bit confused. Just didn't know what you were trying to get across during the last minute or so. This was ok I guess, just think your structuring could've been better.

Sarcastic: Really fun watch. Thought you worked great with the song and your editing was really good. Great use of the lyrics and thought you showcased the wackiness of the show without going over the top. Wish I had more to say, but thought you did everything about as well as you can do in this. Great work, one of my favorite videos in the competition.

Kamran: I do think your editing suffered a bit here. While I thought you matched the tone well at times, your pacing and use of footage were off. Just never seemed to get a good flow with the song choice and was really hard to understand what was going on at times. Not sure if this was the right song choice as I seen better from you, maybe it's rustiness on your part, but did expect something more polished. Decent work overall, but thought your editing could've been better.

My Choice: Sarcastic
